toenail no more
Written @ 11:24 p.m. on May 16, 2005

Nooo! The computer ate my diary entry! Damn you, laptop of doom. Okay. Now I will retype my whole entry. Grrr.

Well, my little brother had surgery on his big toe today. His toenail was ingrown, so he had to have the right side of it removed. Man, did it bleed. Even with a tourniquet on it gushed. I was in there holding his hand through the procedure, and it's a good thing that I'm not squeamish and don't get grossed out easily. He took it like a champ, though. I am so proud of him. He didn't even complain once after he left the dr's office. He did so much better than I could have. If I saw that big of a needle coming at me, it would have been over right then. I would have probably have gone through the wall to get out of the room. Did I mention I was proud?

I had a great message on the answering machine when I got home. It was a call from the hospital I want to work at, calling me for a job interview. I am so excited. I really, really want this job. I hope they hire me. Oh please, hire me. It would only be on Saturdays and Sundays, but that's a good thing to me, because then it won't be crushing job pressure right away. Besides, it gets my foot in the door, so to speak. I could switch to part or full time after a few months.
I tell you though, I was so excited when I got the message that I squealed and jumped up and down. Of course my uncle was here with me and had to squeal and jump up and down too. He's a riot.

This fall I'm going back to college classes so I can get my math and science prerequisites, and then I'll start on either a RadiogRaphy/ SonogRaphy or NurSing major.

If only I would get off my butt and exersize more, I'd be golden.
