health problem worries no more
Written @ 1:17 a.m. on July 16, 2003

Long time no entry. Ever just not wanted to update? For the most part that was it.

The other half I was sort of whacked out from new medication.

But I'll get to that in a minute.

They did an ultrasound of Mom's pancreas, gull bladder and liver to see why she has been having so much pain and burning sensation around her stomach. We should get the results soon. Other than that she seems to be getting better. I think the radiation is working.

My older brother is actually acting decently. He's the projection manager at the worlds 9th largest movie theatre, and the position of power suits him. He seems to be doing very well. He's actually, dare we say, cheerful? It's amazing.

Now on to my medicine. I went to the doctor (still without insurance though) with my list of complaints and he said most likely I have polycystic ovary syndrome. I am on glucophage, because according to him its an endocrine problem, not a cyst on your ovaries problem. So far it has been working very well, except I have been really tired and felt nauseous and a little spacey. I still need to get used to everything. I am also on a form of the medicine I was on for my social phobia, except this one I can get samples of from the doctors office for free. I would be very happy if I could find the energy. :)

Another great thing is that I found out why I wasn't losing any weight after a time. It was due to the pcos' main cause, which is insulin resistance. Now that I'm on medication for it, a healthy well balanced diet and exercise should allow me to drop all my excess weight. Yeay!

Isn't it great when you don't have to worry yourself to distraction over unknown health issues? Fabulous. Such a relief.
